Serpell Primary School Continues Outstanding Support for Local Food Relief

On Friday 19 June, the Serpell Primary School community once again demonstrated its exceptional commitment to supporting local families through a whole-school food donation drive for the Ajani Neighbourhood House Food Relief Pantry.

More than 1,100 students each donated a food item, resulting in the collection of over 800 kilograms of non-perishable food. This significant contribution will help replenish pantry supplies and support individuals and families in Manningham who are experiencing food insecurity.

This is the third time that Serpell Primary School has partnered with Ajani Neighbourhood House to donate food to those in need. In 2022 more than 1315 items of non-perishable food was donated,  and a similar number were donated again in 2025. Outside of Ajani Neighbourhood House’s regular weekly supporters, the school remains the largest community contributors to our Food Relief Pantry, and its ongoing support has played a vital role in helping Ajani Neighbourhood House respond to increasing demand for food relief services.

Ajani Neighbourhood House extends its sincere appreciation to the entire Serpell Primary School community for its extraordinary support and continued generosity. This collaboration is an excellent example of how local organisations and schools can work together to strengthen community wellbeing and support those most in need.
