What's Cooking at Ajani

Week after week our kitchen fills with the aroma of herbs, spices and freshly cooked dishes as participants gather around the bench to learn, taste and connect. Friendships have formed over simmering pots and rolling dough, and many participants say they leave not only with new recipes but with new friends and confidence in the kitchen.

Cooking classes have become a much-loved staple at Ajani, with eager cooks returning each term to learn something new.

Term 2 is shaping up to be our most delicious yet.

Our Mediterranean Cooking series invites participants to enjoy the warm, vibrant flavours of Europe. And by popular demand, our beloved Nonnas will return to the kitchen for an extended eight-week workshop series, sharing treasured family recipes, traditional techniques and plenty of stories along the way.

Also returning is the ever-popular Cook with Teta, led by passionate home cook Ekbal, who guides participants through beautiful Middle Eastern dishes filled with flavour, tradition and heart.

For those keen to try something new, we’ll also be hosting a special one-off Sushi Making Workshop in June. Learn how to prepare perfect sushi rice, master the art of rolling and create your own delicious sushi to enjoy and recreate at home.

Whether you’re a confident cook or just starting out, our cooking programs are about more than learning recipes — they’re about sharing culture, building confidence and creating community, one dish at a time.

To book in for one of our cooking classes call 9850 3687 or email office@ajaninh.org.au
