What is the Choir / Community Singalong?
It’s a fun, welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to come together and sing. No experience is required — just a love of music and a willingness to have fun!

Do I need to read music or have singing experience?
Not at all! This group is about joy, connection, and community. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to hum along.

When and where does it happen?

  • Time: 2.30pm Tuesdays during Term time

  • Location: Wattle Room - Ajani Neighbourhood House

Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and your enthusiasm! Water and comfortable clothing are recommended. Song sheets will be provided.

Is there a cost?
It's FREE!

How do I join?
On your first session, come to the office for a registration form. After that — just turn up!

Can I bring friends or family?
Absolutely! Singing is better together. Everyone is welcome, and the more voices, the merrier.

What style of music will we sing?
A variety of songs — focused on soulful classics. The goal is to have fun, enjoy the music, and lift spirits!

​

I’m shy or nervous about singing in front of others. Is that okay?
Completely! Our sessions are supportive and non-judgmental. Many participants start off quietly and gradually find their confidence.

Is this suitable for people with mobility or hearing challenges?
Yes! We aim to make our sessions inclusive for everyone. Please let us know in advance if you have specific accessibility needs so we can accommodate you.

Who runs the choir?
Our sessions are led by an experienced facilitator Geoffrey Williams who is passionate about music, community, and making everyone feel welcome.
